Bitpanda Global Exchange: Launch Recap

This week, we successfully launched our advanced trading platform and digital asset exchange for experienced traders, professionals and institutions — the Bitpanda Global Exchange.

Our Exchange, which has been in development for 2 years, was officially launched on Wednesday, 07/08/2019 at 13:00 CET and thousands of users were waiting to get trading!

The launch comes at a perfect time for us. Just recently, we reached our 1,000,000 users milestone after rolling out the most successful IEO in Europe raising 43.6 million Euro.

With the Bitpanda Global Exchange, we wanted to offer a safe, European-based platform with high liquidity and the lowest fees in the industry.

We also wanted to make sure that users across the globe could have access and that’s why we opened up trading in 54 different countries!

The trading pairs on offer at the start are BTC/EUR, BTC/USDT, ETH/EUR, XRP/EUR, MIOTA/EUR, ETH/BTC, XRP/BTC, MIOTA/BTC, PAN/BTC, BEST/BTC, BEST/EUR and BEST/USDT — there are also many more to come.

Here are some numbers from the first day of trading:

• >1000 users were actively trading during the launch and many more watched the action
• The total volume during the first 24 hours was 1.722M€
• The most active market was BTC/EUR, closely followed by BEST/EUR

The launch of the exchange also meant the first trading day for our Bitpanda Ecosystem Token (BEST). Trading started at 0.1€ and ended the first 24 hours of trading at 0.0704€. We are working very hard on delivering the planned roadmap and want to make our ecosystem, as well as the BEST token, as big of a success as possible.
