Further advancing innovation with Chief Scientist role

Christian Trummer, our co-founder with his visionary approach to technology was the mastermind behind our platform and architecture; and it’s because of his innovative mindset that he’s transitioning to the role of Chief Scientist. 

As our Chief Scientist, Christian will lead our strategic tech “big bets”, including our newest Bitpanda.ai division, and we’ll be leveraging his deep technical knowledge, his curiosity and constant impulsion to spearhead our breakthroughs as we continue to challenge the status quo.

Further, he will continue to steer and support our technical architecture. Christian’s insight here is key to align with business goals, ensure system reliability and security, and enable future growth and innovation. 

Supercharging our Product and Tech leadership

Simultaneously, we welcome Victor Tuson Palau, as our new CPTO to the den! With over 20 years of experience driving world-class engineering teams, we’re excited for such an industry-proven leader to take our Product & Engineering teams to a whole new level.

Victor joins from Ebury where, as CTO, he was successful in building and delivering a global FX, payments, and lending platform for enterprises while leading the Engineering team. Prior to Ebury, he was the Co-Founder and CTO of Greengame, an award-winning tech-for-good startup that incentivises sustainable behaviour through gamification and behavioural economics. Victor also spent 6 years with Canonical (Ubuntu Linux sponsor) as their VP of Customer Engineering.

So what will our CPTO be doing on a daily basis? He’ll own our complete Product & Engineering, Infrastructure & Security, Data & Analytics and Business IT organisations. Leveraging his unique perspective and innate understanding of our industry, Victor will ensure our teams are set up and united to deliver products that our customers can trust as we continue to disrupt the market.
