App Update With Reworked Two Factor Authentication

Earlier this week, we published version 1.3.0 of our Android app. The update includes a reworked Two Factor Authentication (2FA), be sure to enable 2FA to significantly increase the security of your Bitpanda account. It is generally a good idea to enable the feature for all of your accounts online as 81% of data breaches happen due to weak passwords. You can learn more about 2FA and why it is important in this blog post.

We also added Bitpanda Swap support to the app so you can now conveniently change one cryptocurrency for another any time from your smartphone.

After asking our users which coin they would like to see added to the platform next, we successfully integrated Chainlink in trade-only mode. We’re now pleased to announce the successful full integration of the coin and it is ready for buying, selling and withdrawal.

Advanced Charts

We introduced advanced charts to allow you to track cryptocurrency prices the way that you want to. Bitpanda users can now switch between the classic view and the more in-depth candlestick chart with one click. The candlestick charts feature a range of tools to maximise their usability.

10 Years Of Bitcoin

We celebrated Bitcoin’s tenth birthday with a personal blog post from Bitpanda founder Eric Demuth. It’s an interesting read for everyone who wants to know more about Bitcoin’s history and the future of the industry.

We talked to Ralph Pichler, who identified a critical flaw in Ethereum’s planned Constantinople update. The discovery of this vulnerability meant that the update had to be postponed. Ralph is an advisor for Bitpanda and Pantos, you can find the interview with him here.

Bitpanda And SOS Kinderdorf

We did it! We met our goal and raised 1 BTC to help children’s charity SOS Kinderdrof send Ugandan girls to school. We will now match that goal which means the charity will receive 2 BTC and donations are still ongoing. If you want to help, you can still donate Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP (Ripple) right on their website.
