About Syscoin (SYS)

Syscoin is a decentralised and open source project that has set out to transform the Proof of Work (PoW) consensus algorithm used in the Bitcoin network as a foundation for scaling. The project utilises a combination of Bitcoin merged-mining and the scalable NEVM smart contract solution of Ethereum while second-layer ZK roll ups enable speedy token transfers. Syscoin’s use cases include simple value transfers, affordable smart contracts and secure decentralised settlement. About Zilliqa (ZIL)

Initially based entirely on the Ethereum blockchain, Zilliqa has since developed into its own decentralised platform. The project has set out to solve the problem of scalability that blockchains sometimes encounter by using sharding. Sharding means that a very large database is partitioned into smaller, faster, and easier-to-manage fragments or splitters that are called (data) shards which distribute the workload throughout a network. Thanks to sharding, the consensus process and processing times are sped up, increasing throughput and decreasing transaction costs. About Cartesi (CTSI)
