Ready for some midweek fun on #CryptoWednesday? We’re excited to say hello to six new starters, and it’s all about Web3 Infrastructure, DeFi, payments and assets and exchange token projects: Perpetual Protocol (PERP), Status (SNT), Ethereum Name Service (ENS), OKB, Huobi Token (HT) and Swipe Token (SXP). Plus, invest at least €50 in one of these new additions for the chance to win €1,000 worth of the respective coins - read on to find out more.
We’ve already talked about some exciting new assets from the world of NFTs and the metaverse, cryptography and zero-knowledge proof and interoperability & multi-chain and consumer centred crypto projects, and this week, it’s the turn of 6 Web3 infrastructure, DeFi, payments and assets and exchange token projects to take centre stage.
Created in 2019 by Taiwanese entrepreneurs, Yenfen Weng and Shao-Kang Lee, PERP is a decentralised exchange (DEX) for perpetual futures on Ethereum and xDai. Version 1 launched in December 2020, before version 2 dropped in November 2021 with the goal to “create the world’s best, most accessible and most secure decentralised derivatives trading platform”.
PERP wants to solve the problem of trading with good liquidity and low slippage by employing its vAMM (virtual Automated Market Maker) solution. PERP also lets traders take advantage of on-chain trading without fees and instant settlement by building the exchange on xDai. PERP has already launched staking pools and implemented limit and stop orders. PERP is now available on Bitpanda for trading, find out more about the PERP project on their official page.
The Status system offers a decentralised browser incorporating a messaging system that operates on desktop as well as on mobile devices. This allows users to interact within the network from anywhere, at any time, while having access to more than 2,000 Ethereum DApps from one app. Users are able to receive and send encrypted messages peer-to-peer, utilise smart contracts and make payments.
The native token of the Status network is SNT, which is used as currency on the platform, powers application features and supports an open-source and decentralised economy. SNT is now available on Bitpanda for trading, you can find out more about the Status project on their official page.
Ethereum Name Service is a public decentralised identity protocol and provider of infrastructure that is designed as a DAO (decentralised autonomous organisation), running on the Ethereum blockchain. Though it is not a regular domain system with corresponding features, users can register URL addresses as their desired domain ending in “.eth”. All ENS lookups are started by querying the ENS registry, which is the core contract.
The names registered in ENS are non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that follow the ERC721 standard and the transfer of .eth records can be performed in a way similar to other NFTs. Holders of ENS, the network’s native token, can vote on governance matters, certain protocol parameters and the use of funds in the scope of treasury management, so check out ENS on Bitpanda as a potential addition to your crypto portfolio. You can find out more about Ethereum Name Service on their official page.
OKB is the utility token of the former OKEx, an exchange based in the Seychelles. OKB is an ERC20 token that runs on the OKExChain and uses a Proof of Stake consensus algorithm, with a share of OKB burned on a regular basis to diminish token supply. This token can be used to pay trading premiums, for voting and governance on OKEx, and to receive discounts on trading premiums and rewards. On Bitpanda, you can easily and safely invest in OKB - make sure to check it out.
Huobi Token (HT) is an ERC20 token and the native token of Huobi Global, a Seychelles-based exchange. HT provides eligible users reductions on commissions, crypto rewards and access to special events. Also, HT holders can participate in VIP status plans for discounts on transaction premiums and vote on certain processes on Huobi Global and HADAX. In addition, 20% of profits are allocated to a token buyback programme. Take a look at Huobi Token’s price movements and start trading HT on Bitpanda now.
SXP tokens power Swipe, a platform and API that enables businesses to create crypto-linked debit card programmes for their customers. For example, SXP is used for transaction fees and to pay for services such as card issuances or transaction fees to convert to fiat and make payments.
SXP can also be staked to benefit from Swipe Issuing Premium services, giving discounted transaction, set-up and processing fees for Swipe products. Having its own custom crypto in the form of SXP lets Swipe offer features like the ability to stake SXP tokens to access special debit cards with extra perks, instead of more traditional fees. SXP is now available on Bitpanda for trading, find out more about the project on their official page.
Invest at least €50 in any of the new coins we added in this batch to get the opportunity of winning €1,000 worth of each coin.
