What is Bitpanda Spotlight? 

Bitpanda Spotlight gives you access to promising crypto coins that are hard to find on other platforms. This means that early adopters could profit from low asset prices before they become widely available. And at an early stage, the investment cost is low, which offers the chance for positive profits should the project find success. Bitpanda Spotlight is currently only available on our web app but will be available for Android and iOS soon. 

Shining a spotlight on new opportunities

Bitpanda Spotlight gives people the opportunity to explore and subscribe to crypto projects before trading is enabled. Subscribers will be the first ones informed about the trading start of each coin.

Regulated investing in fast-moving coins

While the projects listed on Bitpanda Spotlight will have a higher risk profile than more established coins, everything listed on bitpanda.com will always follow the same listing process as any other asset we host. As always, we encourage you to inform yourself thoroughly before trading.

How giveaway tokens work 

For every new Bitpanda Spotlight project, there is a fixed number of giveaway tokens. These tokens are distributed between BEST VIPs that subscribe to the project on Bitpanda Spotlight. How many giveaway tokens you receive depends on your BEST VIP level and the amount of users that subscribe. For example, VIP level 1 would receive 1 x tokens, VIP level 3 would receive 3 x tokens, with BEST Level 5 receiving the highest number of giveaway tokens.

The countdown is on for SMR and CORE

The first crypto currencies you can subscribe to on the Bitpanda Spotlight web app are SMR, the native token of Shimmer, the official validation network of IOTA, a rapid innovation playground that lets developers build apps and features outside of the IOTA mainnet. Next up is CORE, the native token of the Core DAO. Core aims to solve the blockchain ‘trilemma’ – scalable, secure, decentralised – by merging the composability of an EVM chain with the decentralisation and security of Bitcoin. We’ll give away 370.000 tokens of SMR and 7.000 tokens of CORE to BEST VIPs when the countdown hits zero. 

How do I subscribe to Bitpanda Spotlight and invest in coins?

Currently Bitpanda Spotlight crypto projects are only supported in the Bitpanda Spotlight section in the web app. You can use your web browser on your mobile phone to reach the Bitpanda Spotlight assets. As soon as you have a Bitpanda Spotlight asset in your watchlist or your portfolio, you will also be able to  trade on your mobile phone as well. Bitpanda Spotlight will be available on iOS and Android apps soon.
