This registration with the Bank of Spain comes just weeks after we became the first foreign crypto provider registered in Sweden and one of the first to register with the Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP) register in Italy. Licences and registrations as distinctions
At Bitpanda, we highly value the licences we hold and the registrations we obtain with local regulatory bodies and authorities. This is because they are true distinctions and a guarantee of our commitment to quality, fairness and transparency.
In addition to the newly-secured registration in Spain and the recent ones in Italy and Sweden, we are also registered with the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA), the French Autorité Des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and the Czech Trade Authority as a VASP. We also hold the PSD2 licence, the MiFID II licence and we are Austria’s first Electronic Money Institution (EMI), in accordance with European law (EMD2). On top of all this, we have a fully AML5 compliant KYC process.
