We always love to welcome new additions to our asset family. Today, Bitpanda says “bonjour” & “enchanté” to our newest additions to Bitpanda Stocks*. Plus, and even better, the choice is yours - you can now invest in the CAC 40 French index and in French CAC 40 stocks.

Are you ready for a little diversification? As autumn is coming to an end, we decided to brighten those shorter days by bringing some flair to stocks investing - we are “enchanté” to let you know that you can now invest in the CAC 40 French index and in top French Stocks on Bitpanda.

C’est la vie

Speaking in confidence, we are all a little enamored with France and it’s often the small things that give us joy. That tickle of your tastebuds or the elusive emotion of just a touch of luxury - our favourite French brands have a secret: they make us feel unique, energised and strong. So to bring your “amour fou” to the next level, you can now invest in your favourite French companies on Bitpanda.

What is the CAC 40?

The CAC 40 is a benchmark French index tracking the stocks of the 40 leading French public companies, based on factors such as market capitalisation, liquidity, balance sheet indicators and more, that are listed on the Paris stock exchange, Euronext Paris.

Don’t know what an index is? In short, an index is a measure that is based on a set of shares representing a specific market, in this case, the largest French stocks. This measure shows the price development of these specific stocks.

For this reason, it is not possible to invest in an index directly. Instead, you invest in a securitised investment product, such as an ETF (“exchange-traded fund”) that replicates the performance of the index. So, if you are looking to invest in your favourite companies from France, voilá: check out the newly added CAC 40 and French Stocks on Bitpanda. This is a great way to diversify your portfolio, by the way.

À chacun son goût

Sectors such as banking, chemicals, media and entertainment, industrial materials, publishing, personal products, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and more are all included in the CAC 40, so the world is your oyster.

Celebrating freedom and individuality was basically invented in France - as was diversity. The saying “À chacun son goût” hails from there too. In case you haven’t heard it, this little bon mot can be translated as “each to their own” - so if you want to pick and choose, be our guest and see a small selection below of what awaits you. Entréz.

BNP Paribas SA Class A: Are you looking to invest in the banking sector? BNP Paribas is the largest French banking group and, if we are looking at total assets, one of the top banks globally.
